Cooking Instructions

Hungarian pork stew with noodles

Stir the port a few minutes in the hot skillet. Put aside on a plate. Add onion and garlic to the skillet, sauté and stir until onion is tender. Whisk paprika spice and cook for a further minute. Add the other spices and water and bring the mixture to the boil. Return pork to the skillet and cook on a low heat for 45-60 minutes. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions. Drain the noodles. Mix tomato puree and flour together and stir until smooth. Stir into the pork mixture and cook over medium heat until slightly thickened. Serve over noodles.

Oyster mushroom soup

Begin by steaming the onions in 2 tablespoons of water for about 5 minutes. Then add mushrooms and steam the whole mixture for a further 5 minutes. Stir in the spices and 100 ml of broth. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. While the mushrooms are simmering, melt oil in a saucepan. Whisk in the starch until it‘s well blended. Then add the water, whisking until it‘s thick and creamy. Turn the heat to low and let simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the flour/water mixture to the mushrooms. Simmer another 10 minutes. If necessary, add water and spices.
