2.5 g (½ tsp) | Annato seeds (Atsuete) |
1.87 g (1 tsp) | Garlic, minced |
1.87 g (1 tsp) | Onion, chopped |
15 g (1 tbsp) | Tomato paste |
30 g (¼ part) | Chicken breast |
1 small pc | Bay leaf (laurel leaf) |
2 pcs | Peppercorn |
27.5 g (¼ cup) | Turnips, sliced |
22.5 g (¼ cup) | Carrots, sliced |
160 g (1 cup) | Steamed rice |
45 ml (3 tbsp) | Prune juice |
Cooking Instructions
In a pan, pour oil and sauté annatto seed until the oil turns dark orange in color. Remove
the seeds. Sauté garlic, onion and tomato paste until the tomato paste dries a little. Add
in chicken, laurel leaf, peppercorn, turnips and carrots. Pour ½ cup water and simmer
until cooked.
